I was just in Las Vegas attending a DJ / photo booth convention. I do this to stay on top off what’s new and unique in weddings since we obviously offer both services.

While at this convention, I saw some really fun additions that I am considering purchasing for our wedding business. I think these new additions could help us make our receptions even more fun.

But honestly, YOUR opinion is more important. So before I make this commitment, I want to see what my wedding clients think.

Could you take a moment and check them out and give me your honest opinion. It would be much appreciated.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

RETRO PHONE MESSAGES

This might have been the biggest item at the show and its the one I am most curious about.

A vintage phone is set out at the reception - usually at the table seating assignments. Anywhere that the guests are sure to see it.

The guests then use the phone to leave a personalized with to the new couple.

The couple of course get all the messages message sent to them after the reception.

Best of all, the couple can make a welcome message.

Leave a message for yourself in the future!

PHOTO BOOTH WITH VIDEO SCREENS

So this is ‘just a photo booth’ with one big exception. It does all the same things that our current photo booths do.

BUT the big exception is that it has a built in video screen that can display many different items
- your engagment photos or favorite couple pictures
- videos clips of the couple
- your custom monogram
- a hashtag for your wedding day

I think it can even show the pictures that it has already taken at the reception!

Consider this: We could maybe even take video footage of your ceremony shot earlier that day and display it on this photobooth.

The ideas for this are very wide ranging!

MEMORY MATCH GAME
(make sure you watch the video)

This might be a great addition for the cocktail hour!

Your guests are playing a timed interactive game on a large TV set that is custom made to you. The goal is to find the matching pictures.

The ‘tiles’ are custom made as are the ‘matching pictures’.

The updates on the fastest player and standings are updated after every play.

So imagine the tiles are your monogram or an engagement picture. Then the pictures underneath are your favorite pictures of the two of you. Or your wedding party / parents / pets.

There are TONS of options!

GET MY PHOTO
(make sure you play the video)

I saw this, and am thinking it would go over well with some events…but not sure about weddings.

This is a new interactive way of getting and sharing photos!

This software uses facial recognition to send your pictures to you. It automatically creates a PERSONAL gallery of pictures that you appear in.

This makes the finding and sharing of the pictures even easier.

Of course the galleries can be customized to the couple and/or their reception

MINI GOLF TO GO

This might be a big idea for corporate events, but it could work for some wedding receptions especially those with a golf theme.

9 or 18 holes can be set up in an area of half a basketball court. The holes have a variety of complexity to them.

Can be played inside or outside.

So I can see this working for weddings at your house, or maybe a rural reception. It could be part of a long cocktail hour.
